Updating an earlier story, the Ottawa Sun reports the Ottawa Renegades of the CFL are close to signing former NFL QBs Dameyune Craig and Romaro Miller. "I'm somewhere between hopeful and optimistic we'll be able to sign Dameyune or Romaro, and quite possibly both, by week's end," Renegades GM Eric Tillman said Monday.

Sean Jensen reports for the Pioneer Press Minnesota Vikings rookie QB Shaun Hill worked with the third team offense at practice Wednesday. Hill is competing with QB Spergon Wynn for the No. 3 quarterback job. Romaro Miller also remains in the mix.

The Associated Press reports Minnesota Vikings QB Todd Bouman took a few snaps Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with a sprained thumb ligament on his passing hand. He remains probable for Sunday. After taking a few snaps, he sat out and Spergon Wynn and newly acquired Romaro Miller rotated passes. "He looked fine," Wynn said of Bouman. "He had a good spiral, he just didn't want to rush it."

Vikings.com reports, in two expected roster moves, the Minnesota Vikings have placed P Mitch Berger (neck) on injured reserve and signed QB Romaro Miller. Miller originally signed with the Vikings on May 2 as a rookie free agent. He was with the team through training camp but was released on September 2.

They also placed rookie CB Carey Scott on IR.
