"With the thought we've been going with all along is to take the conservative approach and make sure our guys are healthy and so we're going to continue to do that. We've waited this long to get him here; to this point. So we'll just continue to take our time and see how he goes. "All those guys are different, and Earl is more like Troy [Polamalu] because of his extraordinary speed and his size and all that. There are four teams that could be potential targets for the New York Jets to attempt to trade QB Tim Tebow to, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York. According to Cimini, the teams in need of a backup quarterback are the Seattle Seahawks, the Chicago Bears, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Browner is hoping to return to the starting lineup, but head coach Pete Carroll is concerned about rust. "I talked to him today," Carroll said. "He's here, he has worked out real hard and his weight's in shape. He feels fast and all of that, he's going to have fresh legs relative to guys who are 16 games into it. But we've got to see how he does, and fortunately we've got guys who can play. If he's not quite right or if he doesn't get off to a good start during the week, we've got other guys who can play for him. But we're going to give him a heck of a chance to play. We're thrilled to get him back, so we'll see what happens."

A Seattle man was killed during a shooting at a crowded club early Monday, Dec. 24, where several Seattle Seahawks were partying, according to police. However, none of the players were involved in the incident, according to head coach Pete Carroll. "From what we know our guys were in a separate area and nobody was involved at all," Carroll said. "It was an awful thing that happened." Over 600 people were in the club at the time of the shooting.

After allowing just 70 rushing yards per game through six games, which was good for second in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks have given up 167.3 rushing yards and 6.2 yards per carry in the last two games, mostly to the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Pete Carroll thinks his young players are trying to do too much. Seattle head Minnesota to just 59 yards in the second half in Week 9 after simplifying some things on defense.
