Pat Yasinskas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers RB Eric Shelton may be down to his last chance with the team. The Panthers kept just three running backs last season. The team has RBs DeShaun Foster and DeAngelo Williams as their top two backs, and RB Nick Goings is a regular on special teams. Shelton's reputation is as a powerful runner, but the team is switching their offensive scheme to use more speed. His best chance to remain with the team is if he can be a reliable short-yardage and goal-line specialist.
