Former Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder continues to rip the team, this time his target was the new coaching staff. Crowder said head coach Joe Philbin "has got a lot of (former head coach) Cam Cameron in him." He also said Philbin is doing "too much micro-managing."

Retired LB Channing Crowder (Dolphins) said Wednesday, Feb. 1, that he plans to return to football in 2012 after a one-year hiatus. He abruptly retired in Aug. 2011, and said he wouldn't return to the Miami Dolphins, citing a disdain for general manager Jeff Ireland. "I wouldn't go on a team with Jeff Ireland. I'm not very confident in him," Crowder said. "He doesn't know what he's doing in my opinion. He's not a good person. He has no class, and I wouldn't choose to go back and play there. And I would have to say it's the only team I don't want to play for."

Former Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder, who announced his retirement last week, said he is open to returning to the league for the 2012 season. "But, it wasn't so much about football as it was about my family and my new wife and my child on the way and having to up an move them when she's due in two weeks. It was more about that. I probably will (come back) next year, two years at most. Probably next year. See if we have any attention, try to get an offer. But, yeah, I'm out this year," Crowder said.

Free-agent LB Channing Crowder (Dolphins) announced his plans to retire from football Tuesday, Aug. 9. He visited with the New Orleans Saints and worked out for the New England Patriots before making the decision.

Miami Dolphins OT Jake Long (knee), DE Kendall Langford (neck), LBs Channing Crowder (knee) and Karlos Dansby (toe) and CB Sean Smith (ankle) were limited during practice Friday, Dec. 10, according to Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. They are listed as questionable for Week 14 but are expected to play.
