The Toronto Blue Jays assigned SP Kyle Davies to Triple-A Las Vegas Saturday, Aug. 20. He was signed to a minor league deal Friday, Aug. 19, after being released by the Kansas City Royals Aug. 10.

Kansas City Royals SP Kyle Davies (Royals) was arrested for disorderly intoxication one day before he was placed on release waivers from this week. The booking report says Davies, 27, was arrested at 3:47 a.m. Eastern time and released at 5:37 a.m. on $100 cash bond. The charge is a misdemeanor. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, the Royals owe him the balance of his $3.2 million contract, or roughly $900,000.

Kansas City Royals SP Kyle Davies (shoulder) did some throwing Monday, Aug. 8, for the second time since landing on the 15-day disabled list July 26 due to a sore right shoulder. "I'm not going to go out there and pitch hurt - no reason to," Davies said. "I want to make sure I'm healthy and can help the team."

He made an emergency start in place of the injured SP Kyle Davies (shoulder). "I'm pretty microwaveable," Duffy said. "You give me 30 minutes, and I'll be ready."
