Kansas City Royals SP Kyle Davies (Royals) was arrested for disorderly intoxication one day before he was placed on release waivers from this week. The booking report says Davies, 27, was arrested at 3:47 a.m. Eastern time and released at 5:37 a.m. on $100 cash bond. The charge is a misdemeanor. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, the Royals owe him the balance of his $3.2 million contract, or roughly $900,000.
