Cincinnati Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo had two more hits Sunday, April 14, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he has reached base in all 12 games this season.

Fantasy Tip: Choo is looking good in his first couple of weeks in the National League. He remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues.

Cincinnati Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo (back) is nearing a return to the lineup for Cactus League spring games after being sidelined for a week due to back spasms. His status for Opening Day appears to be solid. "It's good," Choo said. "(Thursday), I did a full schedule of batting practice, shagging in the outfield, running. It was great, no problem. Today, I will do it again and if it feels real good, I think I will play (Saturday)."

Cincinnati Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo (back) didn't play again Tuesday, March 19, due to back spasms.

Fantasy Tip: Choo has a solid baseline skill set and is now in a much more favorable environment to capitalize in the counting statistical categories. It appears the center field experiment is going well this spring, so that's just another positive.

Cincinnati Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo (back) missed the Cactus League spring game Sunday, March 17, due to back spasms. "He's still a little sore, but I had him off today anyway," manager Dusty Baker said. "He just came in for treatment. I have him as kind of a question mark (for Monday)."

Cincinnati Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo (quadriceps) and C Ryan Hanigan (oblique) are out of the lineup for the third consecutive game Sunday, March 3. Choo has been bothered by a sore quadriceps while Hanigan has been battling an oblique problem. Neither injury is considered serious.
