The New York Yankees placed 3B Eric Chavez (concussion) on the seven-day disabled list with a concussion Thursday, May 3, and recalled INF Jayson Nix from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. RP Joba Chamberlain (ankle) was moved to the 60-day disabled list.
