Baltimore Orioles SP Ubaldo Jimenez tossed a solid eight innings against the Texas Rangers and allowed just one run and four hits Monday, June 30, and he was happy with his mechanics during the outing. "Everything was working," Jimenez said. "My mechanics, in the last two games I've been able to feel comfortable on the mound, my mechanics are coming along."
Fantasy Tip: Could this be a turning point in Jimenez's season for the O's? It could be, since faulty and inconsistent mechanics have been his undoing in the past. It's something worth watching as we approach the second half.

The Baltimore Orioles agreed on a deal with free-agent SP Ubaldo Jimenez (Indians) Monday, Feb. 17. It's believed that it's a four-year deal worth around $48 million. The deal is pending a physical.
Fantasy Tip: The addition of Jimenez will likely push Zach Britton out of the picture this spring. Kevin Gausman could still be a candidate for the fifth and final spot if the club believes Bud Norris is better suited for a relief role. Jimenez made some positive strides in 2013 with the Tribe, but a move to Camden Yards should leave you hesitant that he'll improve further.
