Jason Beck, of Tigers.MLB.com, reports the Detroit Tigers promoted assistant to baseball operations in charge of foreign affairs Ramon Pena to special assistant to the general manager Wednesday, Nov. 30.

The Associated Press reports Arizona Diamondbacks P Ramon Pena wants to forget about using the name of his nephew Adriano Rosario when he signed with the Diamondbacks in 2002, receiving a $400,000 signing bonus. The purpose for the ruse may have been age-related. Pena, now 23, is three years older than his nephew. "There are still some feelings out there and stuff, and I don't really want to comment on that," Pena said. "I want to focus on this year."
