The Toronto Blue Jays won't make qualifying offers to free-agent SP Josh Johnson, OF Rajai Davis, RP Darren Oliver or RP Ramon Ortiz.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Rajai Davis (personal) might leave the team soon for the birth of his first child. Manager John Gibbons said it is possible the team would add an outfielder.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Moises Sierra (foot) left the game Tuesday, Sept. 24, against the Baltimore Orioles due to an apparent foot or lower leg injury. He was injured tracking down a fly ball to the warning track. OF Rajai Davis replaced him in the field.

Toronto Blue Jays OFs Anthony Gose and Kevin Pillar are expected to see a bulk of the playing time in the outfield alongside OF Rajai Davis with OFs Jose Bautista (hip), Melky Cabrera (knee) and Colby Rasmus (oblique) all sidelined. OF Moises Sierra will serve as the fourth outfielder.
Fantasy Tip: Gose and Pillar are worth adding in AL-only formats if you are desperate for help in the OF.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Colby Rasmus (rib cage) is dealing with an injury to his rib cage near his left hip, and he could land on the disabled list. "If it keeps bothering me, I'm just going to shut it down," he said.
Fantasy Tip: With Melky Cabrera (knee) already on the DL, Anthony Gose would be the likely call-up if Rasmus needs to be sidelined. You can probably expect Rajai Davis to be an everyday outfielder for the team for the rest of the season. Gose is attractive to AL-only leaguers.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Melky Cabrera (knee) is dealing with a meniscus tear in his left knee, according to general manager Alex Anthopoulos.
Fantasy Tip: That makes it unlikely that Cabrera will play again this season. Rajai Davis will have value for the rest of the year in all formats.

The Toronto Blue Jays placed OF Melky Cabrera (knee) on the 15-day disabled list with a left knee injury Friday, Aug. 2. Cabrera came off the DL July 21 after he missed 18 games with a sore knee. He left the game in the fourth inning with irritation in his left knee Thursday, Aug. 1. P Neil Wagner was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: Rajai Davis will become the regular left fielder with Cabrera back on the disabled list, and the speedster should be owned in all formats because of his stolen base contributions.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Melky Cabrera (knee) is expected to be able to return from the 15-day disabled list when he is eligible. Until then, OF Rajai Davis will receive most of the playing time in left field.
Fantasy Tip: Davis has played well in limited duty this year with a DL stint sandwiched in there, as well. Now that he'll be playing more often, even in the short term, he is a nice stolen base asset in deep mixed leagues.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Melky Cabrera was not in left field in favor of Rajai Davis on Wednesday, June 26, against the Tampa Bay Rays because, according to manager John Gibbons, "We want the fly balls to be caught."
Fantasy Tip: Sounds like the Melk Man's play in the outfield hasn't endeared him to his skipper. Keep an eye on this, but it sounds like a short-term thing. The Jays batted Cabrera at DH. He hasn't thrilled them with great numbers, but he hasn't been a liability, it'd seem, either.

The Toronto Blue Jays activated SP Josh Johnson (triceps) and OF Rajai Davis (oblique) from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, June 4, and placed SP Ramon Ortiz (elbow) on the 15-day DL with a right elbow strain in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: Johnson returns to start Tuesday night. He should still be owned in most deep mixed leagues, but deciding whether to start him in his first game back isn't automatic. Davis should return to part-time duty in the outfield and shouldn't be forgotten as a decent source of thefts in deep formats.
