Wed, 22 Feb 2012 17:18:49 -0800 Miami Marlins RP Juan Carlos Oviedo, who broke the law playing under an assumed identity, might face suspension from Major League Baseball. Team president David Samson said earlier this month that he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Manager Ozzie Guillen said Oviedo will be welcomed by the team when he arrives. "There are worse things that other people have done and they've crossed over to the other side," Guillen said. "Obviously, these guys have done something that you can't do, but put yourself in their shoes. We're waiting for him with our arms open."

However, Oviedo has told teammates he is hopeful of an early March arrival to camp. Oviedo is currently on the restricted list, and he has not yet resolved his immigration status.
