Philadelphia Phillies C Carlos Ruiz (ankle) has been nursing an ankle injury for the past two days. He appeared as a pinch hitter in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday, Sept. 20, against the Washington Nationals, and started the second game. He finished 0-for-3 with a strikeout.
