Mon, 14 Jul 2014 14:25:26 -0700

Kansas City Royals SP Joe Saunders pitched three innings, allowing one run, on three hits and issued a walk Sunday, July 13, for Triple-A Omaha. It was Saunders' first start since joining the organization.

Fantasy Tip: Saunders is insurance for the Royals. If injuries strike and he joins the rotation, he'll gain AL-only value. However, his upside is extremely limited.

Rangers | Joe Saunders to start Wednesday

Tue, 27 May 2014 13:33:28 -0700

The Texas Rangers are planning on activating SP Joe Saunders (ankle) from the disabled list in order to start Wednesday, May 28, against the Minnesota Twins.

Fantasy Tip: Because of all of Texas' unfortunate injuries this year, Saunders will be counted on to round out a depleted rotation. He's nothing more than a warm body in AL-only leagues, though.
