Tampa Bay Rays 1B Dan Johnson is the likely choice to be recalled from the minors if SS Jason Bartlett (hamstring) is forced to go on the disabled list, according to The Tampa Tribune's Roger Mooney. Johnson is hitting .319 with 14 home runs and 44 RBIs in the minors this year. OF Justin Ruggiano and IF Joe Dillon are also possibilities.

Bill Chastain, of MLB.com, reports Tampa Bay Rays IF Joe Dillon will add to his versatility and serve as a catcher frequently in Spring Training. "Right now, it's just giving me another option. I can pretty much play everywhere in the field, except for center and short, and I can do that if I had to. But I'm comfortable at the corners, and now if I can throw catching into the mix, too, I think that's huge," Dillon said.
