ESPN's John Clayton reports Minnesota Vikings OL Brad Badger (toe), OL Corbin Lacina (calf), DL Willie Howard (knee) and DL Winfield Garnett (knee/ankle) won't be able to play this weekend. FB Jim Kleinsasser (ankle) is still bothered by an ankle injury but is expected to play.

The Pioneer Press reports Minnesota Vikings TE Byron Chamberlain (knee) and FB Jim Kleinsasser (ankle) both practiced for a second straight day Thursday. Both are expected to play Sunday. DT Winfield Garnett (knee/ankle) practiced Thursday and is making progress but remains questionable for Sunday.

The Star Tribune reports Minnesota Vikings G Corbin Lacina (calf) and OT Brad Badger (turf toe) again missed practice Saturday. DL Winfield Garnett (knee/ankle) was able to do some light work in practice today. He then rode a stationary bike for a while. None of the three will play Monday night.

The Star Tribune reports Minnesota Vikings OL Brad Badger (turf toe), G Corbin Lacina (calf) and DL Winfield Garnett (knee and ankle) missed Thursday's full-pads practice. All are expected to miss Monday's game. DT Shawn Worthen (toe) was removed from the injury report. Rookie RB Michael Bennett appears set to return after missing three games because of a high ankle sprain.

The Star-Tribune reports Minnesota Vikings TE Byron Chamberlain's MRI on his right knee revealed a small cartilage tear. It is not expected to require surgery and he is expected to be able to play Monday. DT Winfield Garnett's MRI showed his ankle injury is not a high sprain. He also sustained a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his knee on the same play and is still very sore. It appears unlikely he will be able to play Monday. OT Brad Badger's MRI confirmed he does have turf toe. He was wearing a protective boot on the foot Monday, but he could have the boot taken off as early as Wednesday.

The Pioneer Press reports Minnesota Vikings LT Brad Badger left yesterday's game with a turf toe injury in the first quarter. Badger will be reevaluated today, but he could miss some time. Everett Lindsay moved from left guard to left tackle to play for Badger. Calvin Collins took his place at left guard. DT Winfield Garnett (right foot injury) and DT Chris Hovan (hyperextended knee) were also injured. WR Randy Moss also felt soreness on his right ankle, but he is expected to be fine.

ESPN's John Clayton reports Minnesota Vikings OG Corbin Lacina (calf) hasn't been able to practice all week and won't play this weekend. He'll be replaced by Everett Lindsay. DT Willie Howard (knee) may not be able to play either. The team plans to start Fred Robbins at nose tackle in place of Winfield Garnett. Newly signed CB Dale Carter could play this weekend as a nickel back and on special teams.

Mike Wells reports for the Pioneer Press Minnesota Vikings DT Winfield Garnett continues to rise up the team's depth chart. In fact, a play he made on Sunday stood out with coach Dennis Green. On a second-and-two play he dragged down Bucs RB Warrick Dunn for a two-yard loss. "No question he's earned himself more minutes," defensive line coach Brian Baker said. He called Sunday his best game yet. Garnett is one of three young tackles making significant strides. Rookie Shawn Worthen and Fred Robbins are the others. The Vikings play at New Orleans, one of three teams to cut him, this weekend. Garnett will have built in motivation for that game.

According to the Pioneer Press Minnesota Vikings RB Moe Williams rushed for 52 yards on five carries, including a 26-yarder. It was his first game action for the pre-season. Rookie CB Eric Kelly played solid in place of the injured Robert Tate. DT Winfield Garnett quietly continues to impress the team, receiving compliments from coaches and teammates.

According to the Star Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent DL Winfield Garnett and CB Keith Williams. Those two along with TE Giles Cole, WR Jeremy Earp, DL Tim Engelhardt, OT Jay Humphrey, WR Lonny Mitchell, RB Marvin Welch, LB Antonio Wilson and DE Antwone Young have been allocated to NFL Europe.
