Sports Network reports the Houston Astros added Enos Cabell to the team's baseball operations staff Thursday, Nov. 18. Cabell, a former Astros player, will serve as a special assistant to general manager Tim Purpura and will help evaluate the team's major and minor league players. He will also work other special projects and assignments within the scouting area. Cabell had been serving as a consultant with Houston since July 2004.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports the Houston Astros named Enos Cabell as a consultant for baseball operations Thursday, July 29. Cabell is a retired major leaguer who played for 15 seasons, including eight with Houston over two different stints.
