Twins | Several MIN regulars resting Sunday

Sun, 15 May 2016 08:18:05 -0700

Minnesota Twins 2B Brian Dozier, 3B Trevor Plouffe and C Kurt Suzuki are not in the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer Sunday, May 15. 3B/OF Miguel Sano will play the hot corner and bat third, INF Jorge Polanco will bat sixth and play second base and C Juan Centeno will start behind the plate and bat eighth. In addition, OF Oswaldo Arcia will bat fifth and play right field.

Fantasy Tip: Sano is making his fifth start at third base this season but he has struggled over the last two weeks, batting just .179 with two home runs and four RBI in 39 at-bats. Centeno is making his second consecutive start and is worth considering as a value play in DFS after going 5-for-11 with a home run through his first four games this season. Polanco should be viewed exclusively as a source of desperation cap relief in daily fantasy games.

Twins | Oswaldo Arcia, Kurt Suzuki resting Saturday

Sat, 14 May 2016 11:13:58 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia and C Kurt Suzuki are out of the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber Saturday, May 14. OF Eddie Rosario will play left field and bat seventh, while C Juan Centeno will start behind the plate and bat eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is just 4-for-21 over the past two weeks and is batting .198 for the season, so he is not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon. Centeno is 3-for-8 at the plate and should be viewed as a means of desperation cap relief in daily contests.

Twins | Kurt Suzuki returns to starting lineup

Mon, 09 May 2016 13:55:17 -0700

Minnesota Twins C Kurt Suzuki (shoulder) is starting behind the plate and batting eighth against Baltimore Orioles SP Tyler Wilson Monday, May 9. He missed the game against the Chicago White Sox Sunday, May 8.

Fantasy Tip: Suzuki is 13-for-61 to start the season with just three runs and seven RBI. He is nothing more than a low-end option in two-catcher and AL-only formats, and a desperation source of cap relief in daily contests.

Twins | Three starters sitting for Twins

Sun, 08 May 2016 10:21:11 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Danny Santana, 1B Joe Mauer and C Kurt Suzuki is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox SP Jose Quintana Sunday, May 8. OF Darin Mastroianni will start in center field and is batting seventh in the lineup. C Juan Centeno will start at catcher and is batting eighth, while OF Eddie Rosario will start in left field and is batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is the only one of the three that has had some success at the plate this season but he is hitting only .193. Owners probably should look for better options to use and avoid Rosario, Mastroianni and Centeno.

Twins | Oswaldo Arcia, Kurt Suzuki playing

Sun, 01 May 2016 07:52:55 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia and C Kurt Suzuki are back in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Mike Pelfrey Sunday, May 1. 3B/OF Miguel Sano will play third base and INF Eduardo Nunez is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Suzuki is batting .346 with two doubles and three RBI over the past two weeks, so he should be viewed as an inexpensive flier option for daily fantasy leagues. Arcia has batted just .200 over the same stretch and is hitting just .227 versus righties this season, making him a risky play in all formats.

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 08:38:02 -0700

Minnesota Twins 1B Joe Mauer and C Kurt Suzuki are out of the lineup against Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg Sunday, April 24. 1B Byung Ho Park will bat cleanup and play first base and C J.R. Murphy will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Mauer is batting .328 through 18 games but is receiving the day off because the game is in a National League stadium and Byung Ho Park is getting the start at first base. Murphy is just 2-for-26 and is not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon versus Strasburg.
