Updating earlier stories, the Plain Dealer reports the Cleveland Browns have signed DE Michael Boireau of the Canadian Football League. "I think the Browns are basically getting a bonus second-round pick," said agent Drew Rosenhaus. Boireau suffered a rare muscular disorder called ocular myasthenia gravis. The Browns signed him for the NFL minimum salary of $225,000, plus undisclosed bonuses and incentives. He was originally drafted by the Vikings in the 2000 NFL Draft.

Updating an earlier story, Alex Marvez reports for the Sun Sentinel it appears agent Drew Rosenhaus plans to meet with officials from Dallas, Kansas City, Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland and the Jets at this week's Senior Bowl about siging CFL DE Michael Boireau. He played last season for Montreal.

The Ottawa Sun reports the window for CFL free agents to sign with NFL team has opened and will remain open for three months. DE Michael Boireau has some workouts scheduled for NFL teams. LB John Grace is also drawing some NFL attention as is PK Lawrence Tynes. Long-snapper Steve Glenn is reportedly drawing interest from the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. Both see him as a 2003 addition. Agent Mark French said three other NFL teams have also inquired about Glenn. All the above were with the Ottawa Renegades during the 2002 season.
