The Atlanta Braves signed free-agent C J.C. Boscan (Braves), P Brahiam Maldonado (Mets), OF Jordan Parraz (Yankees), P Jason Rice (Indians) and P Adam Russell (Rays) Tuesday, Nov. 22. Each player was signed to a minor league deal, and received a spring training invite.

New York Mets OF Brahiam Maldonado has been named the 2007 Sterling Award recipient for the organization's Class A Savannah affiliate, according to Don Burke of the Newark Star-Ledger. The Sterling Award is emblematic of the team's most valuable player.
