Ward is scheduled to undergo surgery on the injury Friday, June 25, and is unlikely to be fully healed by the time the team opens training camp July 31. He is believed to have suffered the injury after signing with the Cowboys on June 11, evidently injuring the fragile bone on the outside of the foot while working out at the team's Valley Ranch practice facility.
