The Sun-Sentinel reports free agent WR Oronde Gadsden (Dolphins) was arrested early Monday, April 19, on a DUI charge and for driving on a suspended license, according to Davie, Florida police. Gadsden was wanted on two other counts in outstanding warrants that charge driving on a suspended or revoked driver's license. Gadsden, who was also charged with violation of a traffic control device, refused to submit a sobriety test and was booked in lieu of $3,000 bond.

"I'm ready to play now," he said Wednesday, Oct 1. "I'd like to come back to the Dolphins and hopefully help them get into the playoffs later in the season. That was part of the reason I took the injury settlement. I didn't want to close the door on coming back."

The Sun-Sentinel reports the Miami Dolphins reached an injury settlement Friday, Sept. 5 with Dolphins WR Oronde Gadsden (foot), leaving the door open for his possible return later this season. It's believed Gadsden's injury settlement is for four or five weeks. Under NFL rules, the Dolphins have to wait six weeks after the duration of the injury settlement to re-sign him, meaning Gadsden could return in November. Gadsden, who is still weeks away from a full recovery, is free to sign with another team.
