Brewers | Adam Lind out vs. lefty

Tue, 30 Jun 2015 11:16:31 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is not starting against Philadelphia Phillies left-handed SP Cole Hamels Tuesday, June 30. 1B Jason Rogers is starting at first base and hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Rogers ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is facing a tough matchup in Hamels and has only six hits in 31 at-bats (.194) in the month of June. Rogers is a poor option for FantasyScore gamers tonight.

Brewers | Adam Lind has success against Colon

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 13:20:18 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is 6-for-19 with a home run in his career against New York Mets SP Bartolo Colon. The two face off Wednesday, June 24.

Fantasy Tip: Lind ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) has all 10 of his long balls off righties this season, and he's hit six of his 10 round-trippers at Miller Park. It's the perfect night to run with Lind on FantasyScore as your first baseman.

Brewers | Adam Lind out vs. lefty

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 13:23:13 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is not in the starting lineup against a left-handed pitcher Tuesday, June 9. 1B Jason Rogers is starting at first base and hitting sixth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano.

Fantasy Tip: Rogers ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) isn't a good pick to click tonight against Liriano. Rogers has hit just .194 (7-for-36) with one home run and three RBI against southpaws in 2015. Look elsewhere.

Cardinals | Options to replace Matt Adams?

Thu, 28 May 2015 07:31:51 -0700

St. Louis Cardinals 1B Matt Adams (leg) is likely done for the season, which has fueled speculation that the Cardinals could have interest in Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal. Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind and Colorado Rockies 1B Justin Morneau may also be available via trade, Rosenthal writes. Lind has a club option after 2015, and Morneau has a mutual option. The Phillies are willing to cover the majority of Howard's remaining $50 million-plus contract, although the Cardinals seem to have little interest in impeding Adams in 2016. It is unknown if Howard would waive his 10-and-5 rights to accept a trade to St. Louis.

Fantasy Tip: The Cardinals may try to get by with 1B Mark Reynolds, but a trade is entirely possible to land a complementary bat for matchups against right-handed pitchers. Keep an eye on the situation in the short term.

Fantasy Tip: Against MadBum, you should look to avoid both Rogers ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Ramirez ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) Tuesday night.

Brewers | Adam Lind sitting vs. Braves

Fri, 22 May 2015 12:13:53 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is not in the starting lineup against the Atlanta Braves Friday, May 22. 1B Jason Rogers is batting fifth and playing first base Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Lind ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday, as he is sitting against tough-southpaw Alex Wood. This season, Lind is just 5-for-23 against lefties. Rogers ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is 2-for-19 dating back to Monday, May 4, and he should be viewed as nothing more than a desperation flier for FantasyScore contests Friday.

Mon, 18 May 2015 11:29:45 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is not in the starting lineup Monday, May 18. 1B Jason Rogers is starting at first base and hitting fifth in the batting order against Detroit Tigers SP Kyle Lobstein.

Fantasy Tip: Rogers ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has one home run and three RBI in just 33 at-bats in 2015, but he could make for a profitable sleeper play at FantasyScore tonight while going up against the struggling Lobstein.
