Brewers | Adam Lind sitting vs. Dodgers

Mon, 04 May 2015 12:33:00 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is not in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday, May 4. 1B Jason Rogers is playing first base and batting second Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Lind ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) in daily contests Monday. The Brewers are facing southpaw Clayton Kershaw, so it is a good time to give left-handed hitting Lind a night off. Rogers ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) cannot be started with confidence in FantasyScore contests against Kershaw, either.

Brewers | Adam Lind sitting Friday

Fri, 01 May 2015 09:02:08 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind is out of the lineup Friday, May 1, against a left-hander.

Fantasy Tip: Lind has been ablaze all season, so this shouldn't be a trend in the near future. Jason Rogers ($1,600, 3.2% of your cap) is in at first, but he has no FantasyScore appeal.

Brewers | Adam Lind keeps streak alive

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 15:25:17 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind hit a solo home run in a winning effort to extend his hitting streak to eight games Wednesday, April 29. His hitting streak is the longest on the team this year, and his homer was the 150th of his career. He has three home runs during his hitting streak.

Fantasy Tip: Lind ($3,600, 7.2% of cap), a popular rebound candidate in 2015, is making his owners happy with a .333 average and four home runs in the early going. However, you'll still want to avoid him at FantasyScore against left-handed starters, as he hit only .061 in 33 at-bats against southpaws in 2014.

Brewers | Adam Lind hot

Tue, 14 Apr 2015 11:11:26 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind has reached base safely in all seven games to start the 2015 season.

Fantasy Tip: Lind ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has carried his hot spring into the regular season. He's 10-for-24 (.417) with one home run and five RBI so far. He's a much better play against right-handers at FantasyScore, as he hit .354 with all six of his homers in 2014 off righties.

Brewers | Adam Lind collects three hits

Mon, 06 Apr 2015 18:23:21 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind posted three singles in his team debut Monday, April 6, against the Colorado Rockies.

Fantasy Tip: Anyone who took the chance on Lind at just $3,800 (or 7.6% of cap) was happy with the performance. Despite the three-hit game he is still only worth using if you want a low-priced option so you can spend more at other positions.

Brewers | Adam Lind takes the field

Wed, 18 Mar 2015 15:14:59 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind (back) played first base Wednesday, March 18, and he said he will play first again Thursday, March 19.

Fantasy Tip: Lind is a proven hitter against right-handed pitching (.293/.349/.510 career slash line), but he has just 892 plate appearances against southpaws over his nine-year career. He is a late-round flier in mixed leagues, but if he receives an opportunity to hit lefties and succeeds, there is serious upside for fantasy owners. It is a nice calculated risk, because his success against right-handed pitchers is reliable. Make sure to check back for updates over the spring, especially with Lind's history of nagging back issues.

Brewers | Adam Lind to play Thursday

Thu, 12 Mar 2015 10:38:56 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind (back) has been out with a back issue, but he will serve as the designated hitter in spring action Thursday, March 12, but he'll rest again Friday, March 13.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries and bad luck in 2014 limited Lind to just six home runs. That means most fantasy drafters will gladly pass on him. However, even in a first base platoon situation, Lind could rebound nicely and approach the 20-homer mark in hitter-friendly Miller Park. He's a deep sleeper for his power in the late rounds of deep mixed leagues.

Brewers | Adam Lind to return Wednesday

Mon, 09 Mar 2015 20:44:19 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind (back) said Monday, March 9, that he expects to make his Cactus League spring debut Wednesday, March 11, against the San Francisco Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Lind's injury does not appear to be serious. He has dealt with back issues in the past, so if you plan to roll with him in the regular season you need to have plenty of depth on hand.

Brewers | Adam Lind to miss time

Fri, 06 Mar 2015 18:11:07 -0800

Updating a previous report, Milwaukee Brewers 1B Adam Lind (back) is sidelined due to a back injury. Manager Ron Roenicke said Friday, March 6, that he hopes it will only be a few days until Lind can return.

Fantasy Tip: The good news is that the injury does not sound serious, but it isn't great that it is early March and a guy with back issues in the past is sidelined. Fantasy owners will want plenty of depth if they plan to include Lind on their roster.
