Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis (back) missed the past six games due to a stiff back, but he was able to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Aug. 12, and he might be able to return Thursday, Aug. 13.
Fantasy Tip: Davis is a tremendous fantasy option in AL-only and deeper mixed rotisserie leagues for help in the ERA and WHIP categories, as well as formats which reward holds.

Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis (back) has tightness in his back and could miss another day or two because of the ailment, according to manager Ned Yost.
Fantasy Tip: Davis owns a 16-3 record with 12 saves, a 0.84 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP and 161 strikeouts (12.3 k/9) through 117 2/3 innings over 118 relief appearances since he moved permanently to the bullpen. Those are valuable numbers in all but the shallowest fantasy formats. Expect him to return to his dominant ways sooner than later.

Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis retired one hitter via strikeout to earn his sixth win of the season during the Royals' 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates Tuesday, July 21.
Fantasy Tip: Davis should be owned in all fantasy leagues because of his role in high-leverage situations leads to the odd tally in the win column. He will also spell closer Greg Holland occasionally to earn saves. Plus, Davis owns top-tier ratios (0.44 ERA, 1.63 FIP, 0.85 WHIP and 10.67 K/9 ).

Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis picked up his ninth save in as many chances, allowing one hit and striking out two in a 5-3 win over the Oakland Athletics Sunday, June 28.
Fantasy Tip: Greg Holland had closed out back-to-back games, so it was likely just a day off for Holland. However, Davis is one of the top setup men in the majors this year, owning a 0.27 ERA and striking out more than a batter per inning. He should be owned in all but the shallowest of formats.

Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis would be in line for plenty of late-inning situations if RP Kelvin Herrara is suspended due to his actions Sunday, April 19, against the Oakland Athletics.
Fantasy Tip: Davis established himself as one of the league's elite relievers with a left-on-base percentage of 87.5 last season and a strikeout rate of 13.63 batters per nine innings. Davis should be picked up in all but the shallowest of leagues.
Sat, 11 Apr 2015 06:23:23 -0700
Kansas City Royals RP Wade Davis struck out the side to record his first save of the season against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Friday, April 10.
Fantasy Tip: Davis is worth owning in the majority of formats, as he already has a win, a save and five strikeouts over three innings this season. While it is asking a lot for him to rack up double-digit wins and saves, he will provide excellent ratios to stabilize your starter's numbers, and his 12.1 K/9 mark as a reliever can boon your strikeout totals in a hurry, especially in formats with an innings cap.
