Cleveland Indians 3B Mark Reynolds takes over as the team's regular third baseman following the demotion of 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to Triple-A Columbus. While Reynolds had 26 errors at third base in 114 games, he will start there regularly. INF Mike Aviles and OF Ryan Raburn can also play third base.

Cleveland Indians 3B Mark Reynolds will be the primary third baseman with 3B Lonnie Chisenhall being sent to Triple-A Columbus. "Mark will get the majority of the time at third," said manager Terry Francona. "Mike Aviles can play there as well." Reynolds is leading the American League with 11 home runs, is third in slugging percentage at .598 and fifth in RBIs with 32.
Fantasy Tip: Reynolds is swinging a red-hot stick, and playing regularly defensively could help him sustain his hot pace. Aviles could be mixed in every now and then, giving him a tad bit more value in AL-only leagues.

Cleveland Indians 3B Mark Reynolds started the first game of a doubleheader at third base Monday, May 13, but SS Mike Aviles can also play the hot corner after the team optioned 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to Triple-A Columbus.
Fantasy Tip: Reynolds is already owned in all formats, but Aviles should now be picked up in AL-only leagues and considered in deep mixed formats as corner infield depth.

Cleveland Indians 1B/3B Mark Reynolds and OF Michael Bourn are not in the starting lineup Sunday, May 12, against the Detroit Tigers.

Cleveland Indians 1B Mark Reynolds made his fifth appearance at third base Tuesday, May 6, against the Oakland Athletics.
Fantasy Tip: Reynolds will gain third base eligibility in most leagues that require at least five appearances at a position.

Cleveland Indians DH Mark Reynolds has cut down on strikeouts through the first month of the season. "Well, he's had a really good first month," manager Terry Francona said. "Now, again, the hope is that the first month turns into a really good year."

The good news is that Toronto Blue Jays RP Sergio Santos (shoulder) was able to make back-to-back appearances, but the bad news is he served up a game-winning solo home run to Cleveland Indians 1B Mark Reynolds to take the loss.
Fantasy Tip: Santos is making his way back from shoulder surgery, so appearances on consecutive days is impressive. Still, he is only worth a look in deeper AL-only fantasy formats and rotisserie leagues unless RP Casey Janssen goes down.

Cleveland Indians DH Mark Reynolds (back) is sidelined with a stiff back and hasn't played since Wednesday, March 6. Manager Terry Francona said there is a possibility he could play later this week.

Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said OF Michael Brantley will play left field, OF Drew Stubbs will be in right, OF Nick Swisher will mostly play first base and some right field and 1B Mark Reynolds will serve as the designated hitter and sometimes play first base.

The Cleveland Indians will lose their third pick in this year's draft (69th overall) after signing OF Michael Bourn. Their first-round pick (fifth overall) was protected and their second-round pick was forfeited when they signed OF Nick Swisher. Bourn will instantly become the team's new leadoff hitter, and the team has no plans to move him out of center field. If Swisher remains in right field, OF Drew Stubbs will likely be the odd-man out in the outfield. Swisher could also be asked to move to first base, making 1B Mark Reynolds the full-time designated hitter.
