AtlantaFalcons.com reports S Johndale Carty continues to see most of the work with the first-team defense. Indications continue to be he will replace S Gerald McBurrows (knee) in the starting lineup. TE Reggie Kelly (knee) practiced today and he was upgraded to probable. He is expected to be in the starting lineup against the Panthers Sunday. DL Travis Hall (elbow) also practiced today after missing practice Wednesday. He is still questionable for Sunday. WR Terance Mathis (concussion) is showing no ill effects from his injury. RB Maurice Smith (neck) and WR Brian Finneran (shoulder) also practiced and are expected to play Sunday.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the results of an MRI on Atlanta Falcons S Gerald McBurrows (knee) right knee revealed a partially torn medial collateral ligament. He's expected to miss two weeks. Backup Johndale Carty is likely to start at Carolina and Chris Hudson is also expected to see action at safety.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons S Johndale Carty is likely to replace injured SS Gerald McBurrows (knee) during this weekend's game. McBurrows, as reported, was scheduled for an MRI on Monday and results are pending. It's unclear as to how much time he may miss.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons SS Marty Carter sprained his left knee late in the first half and missed some action in the third quarter before returning to yesterday's game. WR Tony Martin (right shoulder injury) was only to play a few plays during yesterday's second half. He will be re-evaluated. Starting CB Ray Buchanan said he had a slight separation of his right shoulder and was going to have X-rays to check for a broken left middle finger. He showed signs of a concussion after colliding with LB Chris Draft, but kept playing. Draft (sprained big toe), LB Henri Crockett (possible broken finger), WR Shawn Jefferson (sprained shoulder) and reserve S Johndale Carty (strained hamstring) also made the post-game injury report.
