Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez had been scheduled to pitch for the team Friday, July 18, but he missed a team workout Thursday, July 17, and his bullpen session, when one of his flights was canceled, according to manager Matt Williams. Gonzalez tossed a bullpen session Friday, and he will now make the start Sunday, July 20, against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg will pitch Friday, July 18, against the Milwaukee Brewers. Strasburg will be followed by SPs Gio Gonzalez and Doug Fister. Manager Matt Williams is waiting on Jodran Zimmermann's (elbow) status before setting the rest of the rotation.
Fantasy Tip: The Nationals pitching staff have been excellent of late, but the Brewers are always a tough matchup. If Zimmermann misses a start, Blake Treinen would be a likely candidate to take his spot. It would be a road start against the Colorado Rockies, though, making Treinen an unattractive speculative add.

Updating a previous report, Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez (shoulder) will have another minor-league rehab start for Class A Potomac Thursday, June 12. Manager Matt Williams said Gonzalez's command in his first outing Friday, June 6, was not sharp.
Fantasy Tip: If Gonzalez is getting tuned up in Class A, it's probably a good idea to keep him reserved even when he is activated from the 15-day disabled list. Let him knock off the rust and prove his health in one full game before plugging him back into the active lineup.
