Atlanta Braves SP Lucas Harrell has drawn interest from "at least three teams," according to general manager John Coppolella.
Fantasy Tip: It's amazing how quickly things can change, as Harrell was struggling in Korea as recent as last year. Now, after a decent showing in four starts with the Braves -- his first starts in the big leagues since the beginning of 2014, remember -- he could wind up on a contender. The former Houston Astro will really only hold any value if he remains in the National League.

Atlanta Braves SP Lucas Harrell was pretty good in his start Wednesday, July 20, but it wasn't enough as he fell to the Cincinnati Reds. Harrell went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, including a home run. He also struck out three and issued three walks.
Fantasy Tip: Harrell was probably a bit better than his final statline, as he did carry a shutout into the sixth before things came apart for the 31-year-old journeyman. The former Houston Astro has now gone at least six innings in three of his four starts, while flirting with usefulness in NL-only leagues. He still has to show some more consistency to prove he can be trusted in his newfound situation with the Braves.

Atlanta Braves SP Lucas Harrell allowed seven runs, five earned, on seven hits while walking three and striking out four over 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Colorado Rockies Friday, July 15.
Fantasy Tip: After impressive outings in his first two starts, Harrell looked a lot more like the pitcher with a 4.72 career ERA. At best, he is a roll-of-the-dice option in DFS formats.

Atlanta Braves SPs Lucas Harrell, Mike Foltynewicz and Julio Teheran will face the Colorado Rockies Friday, July 15, Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17, accordingly.
Fantasy Tip: Luckily, the series is at Turner Field and not Coors Field, so Teheran is a viable option in all fantasy formats after a strong fist half (2.98 ERA and 8.1 K/9). Harrell has allowed just two runs through 13 2/3 innings over his two starts and could be a streaming option in deep leagues and a low-priced flier in daily contests. Similarly, Foltynewicz owns a 3.67 ERA over his nine starts and is a potential own in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues.

The Atlanta Braves will use SP Lucas Harrell for the start Saturday, July 2, against the Miami Marlins.
Fantasy Tip: Harrell has starting experience in the majors, but he is only worth using in the deepest of NL-only fantasy leagues if you're desperate for starting pitching.

Free-agent SP Lucas Harrell (Korea Baseball Organization) has signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers. He will report to minor league camp.
Fantasy Tip: While it's unlikely he cracks the Opening Day roster, there might be some potential here, as Harrell has experienced notable success before. In fact, on a 107-loss Houston Astros team in 2012, the 30-year-old was 11-11 with a modest 3.76 ERA. It could be a long way before Harrell is relevant in the majors again but the possibility looms.

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired SP Lucas Harrell from the Houston Astros Monday, April 28, in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations. Harrell will report to Triple-A Reno.
Fantasy Tip: Harrell struggled mightily to open the year in the Astros' rotation. All aspects of his game leave him as an average major league hurler, at best. Given the Diamondbacks' rotation problems, he could become an option down the road, but one that shouldn't excite you past deep NL leagues if you're desperate.
