Oakland Athletics SP Dallas Braden (shoulder) was examined Tuesday, April 3, and he has no structural damage. He received a platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) injection after an examination in New York. Despite the good report, he is still shut down for three weeks.

Oakland Athletics SP Dallas Braden (shoulder) flew to New York Monday, April 2, to meet with a doctor who performed his shoulder surgery last May. He suffered a setback from shoulder-capsule surgery, and will find out more information either Monday or Tuesday, April 3.

Oakland Athletics SP Dallas Braden (shoulder) suffered a setback with his left shoulder before the team left for their two-game regular season opening series in Japan. The timetable for his return is uncertain. Manager Bob Melvin said Braden strained his shoulder playing catch following his last bullpen session in Arizona.

Pitching coach Curt Young said the left-hander needs to get his regular work in and that would be too difficult while the A's are in Tokyo.
