Mets | Michael Cuddyer activated from DL

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 12:05:53 -0700

New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (knee) was activated from the disabled list Monday, Aug. 10. In a corresponding move, 3B Eric Campbell was optioned to Class AAA Las Vegas.

Fantasy Tip: The real winner here is Michael Conforto ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) who sticks with the big club. The rookie should continue to see semi-regular at-bats and is worth owning in deep leagues. Cuddyer ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has battled the nagging knee injury all season, and it is unlikely he'll be relied upon for everyday starts. The veteran owns an uninspiring .250/.303/.380 slash line over 314 plate appearances this season. Campbell can be dropped in all fantasy formats.

Mets | Michael Conforto sitting

Fri, 31 Jul 2015 15:49:19 -0700

New York Mets OF Michael Conforto is not in the starting lineup Friday, July 31. 3B Eric Campbell is starting in left field and is hitting eighth against Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez.

Fantasy Tip: The Mets traded for Yoenis Cespedes right at the trade deadline Friday, so Conforto ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) could be headed back to the minors if the Mets want to make sure he receives regular at-bats. Either way, Conforto's fantasy value will take a big hit after being a short-term solution for those in deeper leagues. Conforto should still be owned in dynasty leagues, though. Campbell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) doesn't deserve consideration in your daily lineups.

Mets | Daniel Murphy sitting vs. Dodgers

Thu, 23 Jul 2015 13:12:17 -0700

New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy is not in the starting lineup Thursday, July 23. 1B Eric Campbell is starting at third base and batting fifth against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) hasn't been at his best of late with just three runs, a home run and two RBI through 16 games in July. Going against Kershaw ($9,700, 19.4% of cap), none of the Mets are advised daily players, and since Campbell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) sports and .179/.305/.283 slash line, FantasyScore players should definitely aim higher.

Mets | Lucas Duda sitting vs. Nationals

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 13:50:36 -0700

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda is not in the starting lineup Monday, July 20. 3B Eric Campbell is playing first base and batting sixth against Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Duda ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) in all fantasy formats Monday. Campbell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is sporting a 4-for-41 run over his past 20 games. FantasyScore players should aim higher Monday.

Mets | Daniel Murphy on the bench

Sat, 11 Jul 2015 09:36:26 -0700

New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy is not in the starting lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin Saturday, July 11. 3B Eric Campbell will start at third base and is batting eighth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return soon. Campbell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) picked up a home run and two RBI in his last game, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.

New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (knee) remains out of the lineup Wednesday, July 8. 3B Eric Campbell is starting in left field and hitting seventh against San Francisco Giants SP Jake Peavy.

Fantasy Tip: Campbell ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is hitting only .167 (22-for-132) on the season with two home runs and 12 RBI. He's a desperation sleeper play as salary cap relief on FantasyScore.

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 17:10:07 -0700

New York Mets 3B Ruben Tejada (arm) left the game Friday, June 26, after being struck in the left arm by a pitch from Cincinnati Reds SP Johnny Cueto. He was replaced in the game by 3B Eric Campbell.

Fantasy Tip: The severity of Tejada's ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) injury remains unknown, so check back for further updates on his status. Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) entered play Friday batting .173 in 111 at-bats this season and carries no fantasy value.

New York Mets 3B Ruben Tejada (ankle) is out of the starting lineup Sunday, June 21, against the Atlanta Braves. 3B Eric Campbell is in the lineup instead.

Fantasy Tip: Tejada ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has an ankle injury, the severity of which is not known. You should immediately bench Tejada in your lineup. Campbell carries no fantasy value at this time.

New York Mets SS Wilmer Flores is out of the starting lineup Saturday, June 20, against the Atlanta Braves. 3B Eric Campbell will start at third and hit eighth in the lineup against RHP Williams Perez.

Fantasy Tip: Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting below .200 against righties this season, and FantasyScore owners should continue to avoid him in all formats.
