INF Trevor Plouffe also added a blast in the game. The duo hit back-to-back long balls in the third inning. Morneau has five home runs on the season while Plouffe has three. Morneau drove in three runs in the game.
Tue, 15 May 2012 11:30:27 -0700 The Minnesota Twins will continue to give playing time to INFs Trevor Plouffe, Jamey Carroll and Alexi Casilla at third base while 3B Danny Valencia works in the minors. "We're just playing everybody," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "Valencia is down in Triple-A trying to get his stuff right. Plouffe is up here trying to get his stuff right here. So we don't have a total solution. We have people we're going to try to mix and match." Casilla has more work to do at third base, and he's played third just eight times in his career.
