Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said he will decide between RPs Javy Guerra, Scott Elbert or Rubby De La Rosa to pitch in the ninth inning in a save situation. RPs Jonathan Broxton (elbow), Hong-Chih Kuo (anxiety), Vicente Padilla (forearm) and Kenley Jansen (shoulder) are all on the disabled list.

Mattingly wants to continue using RPs Matt Guerrier and Mike MacDougal in the middle innings. "If one of our younger guys get in trouble, it's nice to have a MacDougal or Guerrier right there to come in the middle of an inning and know where they're at," Mattingly said. "They know how to pitch in those situations."

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed RP Hong-Chih Kuo (undisclosed) on the disabled list and called up SP Scott Elbert Wednesday, May 11.

Fantasy Tip: The recurrence of the yips Kuo previously suffered in 2009 has corrupted his mechanics recently. It could take Kuo some time to correct these issues, and it solidifies Vicente Padilla's hold on closing for a while. If he's still available, grab him.

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti admitted that the team could have just one left-handed pitcher in their bullpen this year, RP Hong-Chih Kuo, according to the Los Angeles Times' Steve Dilbeck. "We'll find the best arms, left or right," manager Don Mattingly said. "You hear about the lefties, and it's nice to have that second lefty out there. It would be nice to have three (as) your best arms. But I'm looking for the best arms." The team's current bullpen consists of Ps Kuo, Jonathan Broxton, Kenley Jansen, Ronald Belisario, Vicente Padilla, Matt Guerrier and Blake Hawksworth. RP Scott Elbert is a candidate to become the second lefty in the bullpen.
