The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins assistant coach Don Breaux retired Thursday, July 17, because of a heart condition. He spent 27 seasons in the NFL and 17 with the Redskins. He won three Super Bowls.

Howard Bryant, of the Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins offense coordinator Don Breaux is recovering from hernia surgery and is expected to return early next week, according to head coach Joe Gibbs.
