Texas Rangers RP Matt Bush allowed two runs on two hits and a walk in 1/3 of an inning against the Boston Red Sox on Friday, June 24.
Fantasy Tip: Bush, who'd allowed no runs and just one hit in the entire month of June entering play on Friday, served up a game-tying home run to Mookie Betts and then couldn't keep the Red Sox from taking the lead. It's a disappointing performance from Bush, who got the call after Jake Diekman struggled (and with Sam Dyson resting), but he'll remain one of Texas' key setup men.

Texas Rangers RP Matt Bush worked a scoreless seventh inning against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday, June 22. He did not allow a hit and was credited with his ninth hold of the season.
Fantasy Tip: Bush has made nine appearances in June, covering 7 2/3 innings, during which he has allowed ONE hit and no runs while striking out 10. He also has six holds and a win in that time as the Rangers continue to use him in high-leverage situations. Bush isn't working enough to hold value in standard leagues, but he could be of use in AL-only formats and those that count holds.

Texas Rangers RP Matt Bush was recalled from Class AA Frisco Friday, May 13.
Fantasy Tip: Bush was the first overall pick in 2004 by the San Diego Padres and has had a tumultuous climb to the bigs. The former shortstop blue-chipper has a 2.65 ERA, a 0.76 WHIP and 18 K's in 17 innings on the farm. He has no fantasy value for now, but it's not out of the realm for him to be an AL-only ratios guy by midseason.

Texas Rangers P Matt Bush worked two hitless innings in the Cactus League spring game Wednesday, March 23, against the Chicago Cubs. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 MLB Draft is attempting a comeback after spending three years in prison. His fastball was clocked from 95-97 mph and nine of his first 10 pitches were strikes.
Fantasy Tip: Bush hasn't pitched in the minor leagues since 2011, and he is not expected to make the major league roster out of camp. However, he could finally complete the long, winding journey to the majors at some point this season.

Updating previous reports, former San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Rays minor league SS/P Matt Bush is expected to agree next week to a plea deal involving a prison sentence of at least three more years for a DUI hit-and-run accident March 22. Bush hit 72-year-old Tony Tufano's motorcycle and fled the scene, while driving a Dodge Durango owned by former teammate Brandon Guyer. According to police, Bush's blood-alcohol percentage was 0.18, more than twice the legal limit for drivers in Florida. He has spent nearly nine months in a Charlotte County jail and is expected to agree to the plea deal during a court hearing Tuesday, Dec. 18.
