Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Cottrell, allocated to NFL Europe and the son of defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell, was beaten with a baseball bat at a German night club. According to Ted Cottrell, his son and a few other players were hanging at a club when a player allocated by the Chiefs got into a fracas with the bouncers. T.J. tried to play peacemaker, but to no avail. After some other players spit at the bouncers, the bouncers chased them down with bats and a sword and beat them. T.J. has since had three titanium plates inserted into his face and the elder Cottrell said they have gotten T.J. a therapist to help erase the memory of the beating. KFFL sends their wishes for a speedy recovery to T.J. Cottrell.
