The Denver Broncos have announced they have signed free-agent C Norm Katnik (Vikings) to a future contract. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. He will officially be added to the roster at the conclusion of the 2007 NFL season in February.

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets OG Norm Katnik has impressed head coach Eric Mangini with his versatility. Katnik replaced injured OG Pete Kendall (hamstring) early in the game Week 1. "Norm plays center, guard and tackle. It was a good lesson for everybody to see, that just because you don't start, you need to prepare as if you're going to be the starter. I thought he did a good job as a backup going in there and playing that role," Mangini said of Katnik.
