Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars LB Tommy Hendricks was charged with violating a restraining order taken out by his former wife. He was arrested Wednesday, March 16, after calling his ex-wife twice the day after the restraining order was issued. He was released on a $1,500 bond. Team spokesman Dan Edwards noted Friday, March 18, Hendricks is being treated for an unspecified medical condition. He added the team does not plan any disciplinary action against him.

Alex Marvez, of the Miami Sun-Sentinel, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed free agent LB Tommy Hendricks (Dolphins) to a multi-year contract. Hendricks received a $200,000 signing bonus in the deal, but other contract details were undisclosed.

According to Alex Marvez of the Sun-Sentinel, as an update to a previously reported story, Miami Dolphins LB Tommy Hendricks received a $10,000 signing bonus as part of the three-year contract he signed last week. The team has also begun contract negotiations with DT Tim Bowens on a contract extension. Bowens is set to count $6.5 million against the team's 2001 salary cap. The team would like to reach a long-term deal with him which in turn would lower his 2001 cap number.

According to their official site, the Miami Dolphins have re-signed re-signed LB Tommy Hendricks to a three-year contract and signed CB Deshone Mallard to a two-year deal. Hendricks played in a total of eight regular season games and both playoff contests for the Dolphins in 2000, primarily on special teams. Mallard was a member of the Dolphins practice squad from September 5 through September 26 this past season.
