Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants LB Nick McNeil delivered a blow to FB Greg Hanoian, which drew head coach Tom Coughlin's ire. Coughlin said, "You want to be as aggressive as you can be but you also have to be smart. People have to stay on their feet, there is no tackling. It's full speed to the ball, then we tag off the ball. We take the blockers on, but we don't go to the ground. Anytime you have something like that, that's a new guy who needs to understand how we practice and hopefully he got the message."

Chuck Carree, of the Wilmington Star-News, reports Green Bay Packers LB Nick McNeil is hoping a successful season in NFL Europe will be the stepping-stone to a good training camp with the Packers which results in a spot on the team's final roster. McNeil received All-NFL Europe honors as a middle linebacker. The Packers have him listed third team on the depth chart. He likes his chances of making the squad as a backup linebacker. In NFL Europe he played the run well and dropped back in pass coverage to deliver crunching blows to receivers who caught passes in his area. The Packers have publicly lauded his performance in NFL Europe, but he knows training camp matters the most. "He did a good job as a starter in Europe and we're excited to have him back here," Packers' director of player personnel Reggie McKenzie told the Asheville Citizen-Times. "Hopefully his experience overseas will be evident in training camp."
