New York Mets OF Curtis Granderson will earn $60 million as part of his four-year deal, pending the outcome of his physical. Granderson is likely to play left field for the Mets, with OFs Juan Lagares in center field and Chris B. Young in right. That could free up OF Eric Young Jr. to play second base if the team trades 2B Daniel Murphy.

New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said OFs Juan Lagares and Chris B. Young will compete for the center field spot next season, but he also left with a strong impression that it's Lagares' job to lose. "So I think Chris is in a competition for center field. … I think, realistically, we'll see what Juan does offensively in spring training and go from there. I won't be surprised to see Juan Lagares in center for the first exhibition game and Chris in right or left." Young is expected to bat somewhere between fifth and seventh in the lineup.

The Oakland Athletics have placed OF Josh Reddick (wrist) on the 15-day disabled list because of a sprained right wrist. In a corresponding move, the team recalled 1B Daric Barton from Triple-A Sacramento. The team also designated RP Pat Neshek for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Barton and Chris B. Young likely will see increased playing time while Reddick is out of the lineup. Barton probably will play at first base when Brandon Moss is moved to right field. Owners in AL-only leagues should consider adding Barton because he should see game action. Young could be an option in deeper leagues if he receives more playing time.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) is dealing with a right wrist sprain and will undergo an MRI exam.
Fantasy Tip: This is the same wrist that robbed Reddick of time earlier this year and sapped him of much of his power. Should it land him back on the disabled list, we could assume that he'll miss the rest of the season or something close to it. Seth Smith and Chris B. Young would likely platoon in his spot.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (head) was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday, July 31, because he has a headache, so manager Bob Melvin wanted to rest him. The outfielder isn't experiencing any other symptoms of a concussion.
Fantasy Tip: Reddick was involved in a collision with a couple of other players on Tuesday night. He was originally in there today, but Chris B. Young took his place. It sounds like Reddick will avoid the 7-day DL, but stay tuned.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) is expected to start a rehab assignment with Double-A Stockton Monday, May 27, and with Triple-A Sacramento Tuesday, May 28, and he hopes to rejoin the team during their homestand next weekend.
Fantasy Tip: If Reddick gets through a short minor league rehab assignment without any setback, he should return to the starting outfield alignment in Oakland shortly after that. That'll mean even less frequent playing time for Seth Smith and Chris B. Young. Reddick's wrist troubles likely played a part in his slow start this year. If he's healthy, he could turn that around quickly. Consider picking him back up when he returns.
