Buster Olney, of ESPN The Magazine, reports free-agent C Cody McKay may face scrutiny from Major League Baseball, as he may have violated baseball's drug-testing agreement after the 2003 season, as outlined in the Mitchell Report.

Former MLB C Cody McKay has been named in the Mitchell Report. Personal trainer and former employee of the New York Mets Kirk Radomski said he recalled conversations with McKay which led to the sale of steroids.

The St. Louis Cardinals' organization released C Cody McKay, who had been playing at Triple-A Memphis, according to Matthew Leach of Cardinals.MLB.com. The 31-year-old had apparently requested his release from the team.

George Von Benko, of Cardinals.MLB.com, reports St. Louis Cardinals C Cody McKay (finger), currently playing with Triple-A Memphis, was forced to leave the team's game early after being struck in the hand by a bat while catching. McKay may have suffered a broken finger, though it will not be known until swelling in the injured hand subsides.
