The Associated Press reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery said all of the doubts about the Jets' receivers is extra juice for the team's receivers to pick up their game. Cotchery, who has 260 career receptions, is the team's only proven receiver on roster. "I want everybody to understand that I'm really not blowing smoke, but we have a lot of talented guys at wide receiver," Cotchery said.

The Associated Press reports New York Jets QB Brett Favre is 67-23, including 2-1 this year, when the temperature is 45 degrees or less. However, he is 1-6, including the playoffs, while on the road when the temperature is below 34 degrees. It is expected to be around 34 with snow at kickoff during Week 16. WR Jerricho Cotchery said Favre was throwing the ball like it was 90 degrees out Friday, Dec. 19, when the team practiced in the snow. "He was zipping it and every ball was a spiral. I think he's very comfortable in this weather," Cotchery said.

Rich Cimini, of The New York Daily News, reports New York Jets QB Brett Favre looks shot. At 39, it is very possible Favre is wearing down near the end of the season. He attempted to hit WR Jerricho Cotchery deep during Week 15, but he couldn't get the ball to him and it was intercepted. "Maybe I don't have the arm I once had. I don't know," Favre said after the game. Over the last three games, he has hit 57.7 percent of his passes in a dink-and-dunk passing game. Against the Buffalo Bills in Week 15, Favre struggled with his accuracy on short and intermediate passes, too. Head coach Eric Mangini said he assumes Favre will cycle back after a recent slump that has him with a 61.0 quarterback rating. Favre has never lost the final two games of the regular season during his career.
