The New York Jets may show interest in free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (49ers) this offseason because head coach Rex Ryan praised Edwards' play when he was with the team and thinks the Jets need to look to add a deep threat at receiver.

The San Francisco 49ers attributed WR Braylon Edwards' (knee, shoulder) release to the fact that he hadn't fully recovered from knee surgery earlier this year. Edwards said his knee "required more time to rehab and hasn't allowed me to re-sync with the offense." He also dealt with a shoulder injury in November that limited him.
