Allen Wilson, of The Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards spent more than 20 minutes following the conclusion of the team's OTA Wednesday, May 27, throwing extra passes to WRs Terrell Owens and Lee Evans. The three are trying to get their timing down better. "I think it's very, very important, especially for me being new to the system," Owens said. Owens, who admitted he is still making some mistakes, added the two are trying to get a sense of chemistry and he is trying to get used to how Edwards throws the ball. Edwards encouraged the extra work due to some sloppy play during the OTA.

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills WR Lee Evans said he does not think he will be double-covered as much this season as he was last season because of the addition of WR Terrell Owens. "I think it will certainly drop. I was double-covered a lot last year. I think that it will drop. It's hard to say by how much. I think teams will just try to schematically do different things that take people away at certain times, but it will be on the quarterback to make the right read on what the defense is trying to do, and see who's open and make the play. We'll see," Evans said.

"That's what is creating the excitement for everybody involved. It's going to come down to putting it together. Once we put it together, guys have the right mindset because everybody wants to win. With the addition of Terrell and some of the other things we've done it's really tangible, and (now) it's (about) putting it in motion."

"Oh yeah it's going to make you better. Going against [WR Lee Evans] or a quick guy like [WR Roscoe Parrish], he's very tough to defend one-on-one. Then you add T.O. and now there's three guys that are fast like that every day in training camp, you can't do anything but get better," McGee said.

Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports the Buffalo Bills have signed WR Lee Evans to a four-year, $37.25 million extension that includes $18.25 million worth of guarantees. Evans will make $27 million over the first three years of the deal. He is now under contract through the 2012 season.
