The Tennessean reports the Tennessee Titans signed RB Dan Alexander to their regular roster from their practice squad. The made the move to prevent the Jaguars from siging him to their roster. To make room for Alexander to sign, the Titans released FB Wes Ours. If Ours clears waivers, the Titans want to sign him to their practice squad.

The Tennessean reports, newly signed FB Wes Ours is being brought in to do one thing and that is to lead the RB into the hold and smash the LB. Ours was claimed off waivers Wednesday and was in uniform practicing with the team Thursday in a few plays and team drills.

TitansOnline.com reports the Tennessee Titans have claimed FB Wes Ours off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Head Coach Jeff Fisher said it will take Ours time to learn the offense, but he could be active against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday.

The Indianapolis Colts official site reports that they have signed LB Ryan Phillips and waived RB Wes Ours. Phillips was with the New York Giants the last four years and is a former third-round pick (1997).

This morning we reported the Indianapolis Colts were expected to sign a free agent LB today. Right on cue they did as they signed LB Ryan Phillips. They waived RB Wes Ours to free the needed roster spot. Phillips played the last four seasons with the New York Giants and he was waived by Oakland in the pre-season.

Green (calf) missed his third consecutive game this pre-season. G Steve McKinney was out of last night's game with a groin injury.
