He allowed four earned runs, six hits and a walk over six innings with seven strikeouts. Bedard also served up back-to-back home runs to a pair of former Pirates, 1B Adam LaRoche and OF Xavier Nady. He dropped to 2-5 despite a respectable 3.07 ERA.
