Updating a previous report, Cleveland Indians DH Travis Hafner (hand) left the game after being hit by a pitch on his right hand Thursday, May 17, but he did not undergo X-rays. Swelling in his hand made it difficult for him to grip a bat, but he's expected to be ready to play Friday, May 18.

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley and 1B Casey Kotchman each drove in three runs in a winning effort in Game 1 of a doubleheader Monday, May 7. DH Travis Hafner hit a homer and triple for the first time in almost five years. Hafner's homer was his fourth of the season and 192nd in his career, tying him for eighth place in team history on the all-time list. His triple was his first since May of 2007, a span of 1,711 at-bats. Brantley was 2-for-4 with a run scored.
