"It's going to do a lot of good things, not just for my game but for the team as well," Bryant Johnson said. "He's going to draw double coverage, which means I may get singled-up a lot. I can use my ability on the back side to beat one-on-one coverage and kind of balance out the defense."

Tom Kowalski, of Mlive.com, reports Detroit Lions QB Daunte Culpepper has dropped significant weight after weighing in at 292 pounds last year when the Lions signed him midseason. WR Bryant Johnson said Culpepper came in around 260 pounds for the start of the team's offseason program this year. "He looks good, and I look forward to working with him," Johnson said of his new teammate. OT George Foster said Culpepper has been leading by example and "looks amazing."
