Dan Steinberg, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis (concussion) said he does not need to rush back to the lineup as long as RB Ladell Betts is playing well while is out. Portis said he would not mind splitting carries with Betts when he is able to return fully healthy. Portis said he will do what he can during practice while he still is experiencing symptoms from the concussion.

The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis (concussion) is still experiencing "a little blurriness" and is uncertain if he can play in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys. He will regain his starting job when he returns to the team. Head coach Jim Zorn wants to see Portis participate in a full practice before playing him.

The NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports Washington Redskins RB Ladell Betts (ankle) will start in Week 10 in place of RB Clinton Portis (concussion), but Betts still isn't 100 percent. The Redskins may rotate other backs with Betts to keep him fresh. Head coach Jim Zorn said Friday, Nov. 13, RBs Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther could be used in a committee approach this week against the Denver Broncos.
