However, it is not known which charges Henry plans to admit to. A change-of-plea hearing has been set for April 16. Henry, who was jailed a week ago, must spend 179 days in jail unless he is able to come up with $16,600 in back child support. He is officially charged with contempt of court. He is awaiting trial on federal drug charges after an arrest in September.

The U.S. attorney's office said Thursday, Oct. 9, Henry must remain in his home, where he will be monitored electronically. He is not allowed any contact with co-defendant James Mack. Mack is scheduled to appear in court Friday, Oct. 10, to post $10,000 bond. He will also be subject to home detention and electronic monitoring.

"Obviously, when a guy gets an opportunity, you're hoping that he is going to take advantage of it from a football side," Shanahan said. "And when he didn't do the things that he was supposed to do during the offseason program, obviously, we released him. But for him to experience what he's experienced right now, I wouldn't wish that on anybody and it's really a shame."
